This lovely little gem is by my homegirl Kristin Farr, whose solo show Magic Mountains is up all month at Kokoro Studio in SF. Great opening last night. I'm not yet sure where I'm going to put my new cocoon, but it will be a great addition to the new home.

bad.ass. new cactus to brighten my work space. It brings me an inordinate amount of happiness. What a great investment.

Why aren't more things crazy colors? I guess it has something to do with evolution and survival of the fittest, but wouldn't it be nice if there were pink horses and green striped zebras and purple trees? What a lovely vision.

Kate MccGwire

oh. shit.
I keep finding such amazing stuff today. Kate MccGwire is a UK based sculptor who works with feathers. I have a great affinity for birds and actually have one tattooed on my right foot. This artwork made me feel like I'd gotten the wind knocked outta me.

Best of 2009!?

The homie who runs one of my fav blogs, The World's Best Ever, included me in his Best of 2009 Artorialust feature (which he dubs 'hot chicks at art openings') That's pretty effin sweet. Yes, I'm indulging in a vanity moment. But really, all the other girls are actually very beautiful so it's an honor to be included in a Best Of list.
